Why do you focus on Asian meals?

Iron Goat Provisions started from our own frustration on backpacking trips. We kept running into β€œAsian” meals that were too sweet, too bland, or just didn’t taste like what we grew up with. We wanted to bring authentic Asian flavors to the trail, the kind that actually remind you of home.

What is freeze drying and why freeze dry food?

Freeze drying removes up to 98% of a food’s water content while keeping its flavor, texture, and nutrients intact. The process is based on ancient preservation techniques, like those used by the Incas with potatoes, but updated with modern temperature and pressure controls. The result is food that is lightweight, shelf-stable, and full of real flavor.

How does shipping work?

We pack and ship orders within 1–3 business days. Once your order is on its way, you’ll get an email with tracking details so you can follow along.

We currently ship through USPS Priority Mail, USPS Ground Advantage, and UPS Ground. The delivery dates shown at checkout are estimates from the carrier and may change depending on weather or transit delays.

Currently, we only ship within the United States.

Do you add preservatives?

We do not add preservatives beyond what may already exist in our ingredients. Our golden rule is simple: if we would not eat it ourselves, it does not go into our food.

How do you cook the food?

We prepare all of our meals in small batches to ensure quality and consistency. Everything is made in a certified commercial kitchen that meets all required health and safety standards.

Can we request or suggest recipes or meal ideas?

Absolutely! We love hearing new ideas from fellow adventurers. You can message us on social media or email us using the address listed below. Tip: if you share your idea under one of our Instagram posts, it might get a little extra attention πŸ‘€

What should I do with the pouch after my meal?

We are big supporters of Leave No Trace. We like to use the pouch as a mini trash container, then dispose of it properly once back in civilization. Keeping the outdoors clean keeps the adventures going.

Where can I buy your products?

Right now, our meals are only available here on our website. Once we partner with retailers, we will share the news on our social media, website, and mailing list.

I have a problem with my product. What should I do?

We are so sorry something went wrong! We are happy to replace and cover shipping for any defective products. Please reach out to us through social media or by email and we will make it right.
