Why do you focus on Asian meals?

Our focus on Asian meals comes from our own personal frustration of the lack of Asian options on our own backpacking trips. We were disappointed with overly sweet pad thai and fried rice that didn't taste like anything what we grew up with.

What is freeze drying and why freeze dry food?

Freeze-drying (lyophilization) is an ancient Incan method of preserving potatoes. Modern methods are done through machines, and can remove up to 98% of water content while preserving flavor and nutrients. Theoretically, freeze-dried foods can last for over 25 years.

What's the shelf life of the meals?

While freeze-dried foods theoretically last over 25 years, we want to be sure about our products with high-quality accelerated shelf life testing (ASLT). Each recipe undergoes this process to show you the most accurate best-before date on each packet.

Do you add preservatives?

We do not put preservatives in our food, outside of any preservatives that may be in our ingredients. Our golden rule is to not use ingredients we would not eat ourselves!

How do you cook the food?

We prepare all our current offerings in small batches to ensure quality. Currently, we are cooking from a commercial kitchen that have all the required health and safety certifications, and maintain our food safety certifications.

What should I do with the pouch after my meal?

We are strong supporters of the Leave No Trace movement! We like to use the pouch as a trash container while taking in Mother Nature, before disposing of the bag in the appropriate trash receptacle.

Where can I buy your products?

Right now, our products are only available here on our website. Once we launch with retail partners, we’ll announce it on our social media, website, and mailing list.

I have a problem with my product. What should I do?

We're so sorry something went wrong! We are more than happy to replace and cover the cost of shipping for any defective products. Please reach out to us on our socials or our email posted at the bottom of the page.
